The transition to a more sustainable industry requires concrete action and strong technological choices. This is the dynamic behind McCain Foods’ industrial decarbonization project, which we are proud to support in a new key stage.
A clear objective: industrial performance and reduction of the carbon footprint
This ambitious project aims to boost the site’s production capacity while significantly reducing CO₂ emissions, using innovative and proven solutions.
The challenge is twofold: balancing energy performance and environmental responsibility without compromising productivity.
A major breakthrough in the field
This week marks a milestone in the realization of the project:
the Mechanical Vapor Recompressors (MVR) have been received and installed on site.
A total of five mechanical steam compressors are now in place. They form a central element of the system implemented to support McCain Foods’ decarbonization strategy.
A key technology for decarbonization
Mechanical Vapor Recompressors enable:
- Decarbonized steam production, thanks to the valorization of process waste heat,
- Up to 30% reduction in CO₂ emissions,
- A significant improvement in energy efficiency, contributing to overall optimization of the industrial process.
This technological solution is fully in line with the goal of saving energy and reducing long-term environmental impact.
Towards a more responsible industry
👏 A big thank you to all the teams working on site for their commitment and involvement in the success of this key stage of the project.
