{"id":672,"date":"2021-02-05T11:10:33","date_gmt":"2021-02-05T10:10:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.evaporation.fr\/decarbonation-uk\/"},"modified":"2024-12-12T15:34:58","modified_gmt":"2024-12-12T14:34:58","slug":"decarbonation-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.evaporation.fr\/en\/news\/decarbonation-uk\/","title":{"rendered":"Important investment of DECARBONATION at Tavaux"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 1em; background-color: inherit; color: inherit; font-family: inherit; caret-color: auto;\"><strong><em>Replacement of the brine concentration process<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n\n<p><span style=\"background-color: inherit; color: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-size: 1rem; caret-color: auto;\">This is a large-scale project in which INOVYN wanted to involve France Evaporation.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p>INOVYN wanted to associate France Evaporation with this large-scale project and is investing in a new mechanical steam recompression unit to decarbonise its solid salt production process at its Tavaux site.<\/p>\n\n<p>INOVYN&#8217;s planned investment will significantly improve the energy efficiency of Tavaux&#8217;s operations by converting its brine concentration process to operate with steam generated from electricity rather than gas. This will ultimately lead to a reduction in primary energy consumption of more than 200 GWh and a reduction in CO2 emissions of more than 60,000 tonnes per year. <strong><br\/><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>France Evaporation has been selected to supply the main equipment for the future unit, which is scheduled to start up at the end of 2023.
